If you’re researching subwoofers for trucks because you want to create high quality acoustics in your cab, you will to need to have a selection of different kinds of speakers fitted. There is no one speaker that can do the job on its own. To cover the audio frequency range adequately and produce great sounds, you will need to install several speakers. Cab speakers are designed specifically for working in a limited frequency range. When different types are fitted together in the same sound system, you will get perfect sound reproduction and great acoustics.

The Three Types of Truck Cab Speakers You Need To Have

Subwoofers For Trucks

1. General speaker: often called an “all round” speaker, it is made for the middle range of audio frequencies. This is the most common type of speaker and can play most music at reasonable levels. It’s not exceptional, but good enough for most people. However, for top quality sound and to make your music come alive, you can’t ignore the upper and lower ranges of audio frequency.

2. Subwoofer speaker: if you want some heavy bass, you’ve got to install a subwoofer. This speaker maximizes low frequency sounds, and gives music vibrancy. When looking for subwoofers for trucks, you need to match up your speaker box with the kind of bass you’re after. Some boxes produce a strong, deep bass, while others make heavier, booming bass sounds.

3. Tweeter speaker: a tweeter is a speaker made for upper sound frequencies. It gives sharpness and clarity to any music you might listen to. It’s possible to find tweeters attached to subwoofer speakers for both high and low ranges, but it may be better to get a separate tweeter so you can put it in a more suitable place in your truck cab.

To have a an excellent sound system in your truck, you need to consider the entire audio range. It’s not enough to rely on the speakers that came with the truck. By using a combination of general mid-range speakers, tweeters, and Subwoofers For Trucks you will be able to make some awesome sounds.

Take a cruise round this site to see what speakers are available, compare prices and read reviews. This will help you make the best choice for your truck.

Solid Enclosure

What made me choose this enclosure initially was that, unlike other enclosures, it was made from 3/4″ MDF instead of 5/8″, although it’s volume was slightly less than I was looking for. Most, if not all Sub-woofer manufacturers recommend 3/4″ MDF, especially if you are going to be giving them substantial wattage as I intend to do. The wire and wiring connectors are adequate though not especially high quality. My enclosure was sealed well, though others have complained that theirs were not. In all I feel this is a solidly built enclosure, especially for the price paid. I feel almost anyone would be hard pressed to build a n enclosure of the same quality for less on their own.
